At Linda Beach Preschool, we encourage play and individual expression within a gently structured day. The daily schedule helps children become used to changing activities as a group, and allows them to slowly learn to concentrate for longer periods of time. Preschoolers develop increased self-awareness as they transition from parallel play to building friendships with their peers, and leave Linda Beach comfortable with the behavioral expectations of the classroom setting.

Our Programs

Both programs run from 9am – 12noon.  

Each class has a maximum of 20 students.

We require children to be fully potty trained for either class and we do not allow pull-ups.

  • T/Th: Our 3-4 Year Old Program

    • Children must be 2 years and 6 months by September 1st

    • Class has a maximum of 20 students, with 2 teachers and 3 parent volunteers

9:00 AM      Welcome/free choice activities

9:25 AM      Circle time with songs, stories and activity instruction

9:40 AM      Free choice and teacher-directed activity

10:30 AM     Clean-up, hand-washing, snack

11:00 AM      Playground time

11:45 AM      Closing circle

12:00 PM     Dismissal

Children also participate in various enrichment activities that vary by day, such as

Cooperative Commitment

Classroom Participation

Parents/guardians volunteer in the classroom approximately every 3-5 weeks, depending upon the size of the class.

Reduced classroom participation is available to families for whom a regular participation schedule would be difficult to maintain. Reduced classroom participation status will be given at the discretion of the Director and the Board.

Community Involvement

Linda Beach families each commit to one or two volunteer jobs during the course of the school year. There are a broad range of potential jobs - the parent handbook provides more details. Families also participate in one school cleaning day per year, attend parent meetings, and support the Spring Fundraising Gala.

Tuition

Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments during the months of September-June. For 2024-25, the Tues/Thurs class tuition is $340 per month, and for the Mon/Weds/Fri class is $440 per month. Limited tuition assistance is available based on financial need.
